Historically, Gibraltar’s geographical location has always been of strategic importance. Today is no different. The British Overseas Territory boasts its own Gibraltar International Airport with plenty of air links to various destinations in the UK including London, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh, in addition to Tangier in Morocco. The prospect of joining the Schengen Area could allow for a further extension to the list of airlinks currently on offer, granting direct access to new Schengen destinations.

Gibraltar is only a 90-minute car journey away from Malaga airport in Spain, which offers a further diverse listing of international flights. Similarly, Jerez and Seville airports (approx. 2hr drive away) offer alternative airlinks from the Southern Iberian Peninsula.

Gibraltar is also a popular stop for vessels looking to bunker and for cruise liners that bring roughly 500,000 passengers a year to enjoy the sunshine and discover the Rock’s rich history. Attractions such as the Moorish Castle, The Great Siege Tunnels, the Upper Rock, St. Michaels Cave and Europa Point to name a few, are a must see for anyone visiting Gibraltar.
